Social Organizations
These are just suggestions. Feel free to follow your instinct and create your own packages. Just please be aware that it's safer not to include food or medications (even over-the-counter). But please don't allow fear to prevent you from getting involved. A good idea is to ask for inner guidance concerning whom to help.
4) WILL A HOMELESS PERSON BE ABLE TO USE A GIFT CERTIFICATE?
I called several establishments around the area and asked that question. A couple of places said no, but most of them said yes, as long as they didn't cause any trouble and bother the other customers.
Of course, gift certificates, books, etc, should be distributed with common sense. Some homeless people under extreme conditions might not be physically, emotionally or mentally able to benefit from their use, and might be better off receiving some food, clothes or hygiene items and a list of local help centers.
Again, when in doubt if the person in question might benefit from the package your prepared, ask your inner guidance.
5) SPREAD THE WORD!
Send this suggestion to friends and family! Create your own Homeless Care Pack production hub!
AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
