My Background
(in Case You're Curious)

Choose One Step

But now I can justify it by saying that maybe I chose to go through life this way to be able to tell my story (or lack thereof) and make it a little easier for all the other Janes and Joes like myself who don't quite get it, but who are still trying. Even if it's just for all of us to acknowledge that we are not alone in this crazy world.

Career

Since I couldn't go with my first career choice and be a bum, I followed my mother's footsteps concerning my college choice (BA in Languages, Major in English, Minor in Portuguese), rather what I really wanted to do (art school; I always loved drawing). But that turned out to be a good thing, since I was going to end up in the U.S. It also gave me a good literary background and some useful writing tools (I have written many poems and a few short stories; my very first seven poems are part of an anthology called Poets Unleashed, compiled by Ron Cross; the book proceeds, minus publishing costs, go to The Children's Home Society). After college, I worked as a bilingual secretary for a couple of companies in Brazil before I decided to come to the U.S. to brush up on my English. Ended up by staying to work at a Brazilian travel agency in Miami, FL. After I moved to Orlando and got married, I pursued an administrative career for a while, until I got bored almost to death. I decided to get another degree (commercial art), changed careers, did some graphic design work for a few different companies, and finally got a job I liked at a publishing company. After a few years, I quit, started a publishing and graphic design company (Creative Angle Media) with a business partner in 2001, and we proceeded to create a successful bilingual publication in 2003 (Ahora Orlando magazine, still being published). I'm currently making plans to change careers and pursue a new path related to what I guesstimate to be my life mission.

My interest in healing work started just a few years ago as a hobby. I practiced it on the side, free of charge, mostly for friends and family, and then friends of friends and family. Then I had to stop, as it was taking too much of my time and energy. I've attended more workshops and learned new techniques since. One of my goals is to eventually specialize in alternative healing work on children.

One workshop I attended that particularly worked for me was the Body Detective course back in August of 2007. Although the course began with similar practices to what I had learned before, it culminated into the most effective energy healing treatment I had ever experienced, witnessed and participated in: cellular release therapy. Since then, everything has become more open, and I've had more clarity than ever before. I'm now able to enter into what I call a conscious trance very easily during meditation (something I had never been able to do before). These days, I often receive guidance, not only for me, but also for friends and family, and sometimes even for perfect strangers. And some of it has already happened and proven to be right on the money, too! It's been quite interesting, to say the least.

What I've learned from all this is that there are many ways to open your channels and access your higher power, and pretty much anyone can do it.

Although highly effective, cellular release therapy can be very intense for some; but there are many other methods that can become the right tools to help anyone achieve similar results. Among those: EFT, Psych-K, Core Health, Energy Medicine, HeartMath, etc. In this web site, I've included links to sites that provide more information about some of the available techniques. Please keep in mind that different methods work differently for different people, and all roads lead to Rome. I strongly recommend you consult your gut and find your own way.

I also attended the Angel Certification Program taught by Charles Virtue (son of Doreen Virtue) in Sedona, AZ. Among other useful techniques, I trained in the use of Angel cards to focus psychic ability and intuition during a reading.
